leaf castings for sale

Aren't they gorgeous? Many people have never appreciated a leaf until they see these beautiful handmade leaf castings. If you are a gardener, however, you are probably well aware of the huge variety of textures and shapes in nature. These beautiful leaf castings are hand crafted using a real leaf and concrete. Each is a unique piece of art where nature is locked into stone as permanently as a fossil in a bed of limestone. The pictures below show specific leaf castings that are for sale.

For Sale

Three HUGE rhubarb concrete leaves

21-inch: $50...............................18-inch: $45...........................16-inch: $40.
These are absolutely beautiful! The leaves are very heavy, made with 1/2 to 1" thick concrete. Each leaf is an original work of art, made using a real rhubarb leaf. Below are a few closeup pictures so you can see the detail and the texture. They are colored with a terracotta-red concrete colorant, mixed into the concrete so the color is throughout, not just on the surface. Note that the photos were taken while the leaves were wet with rain; the color will appear muted when the leaves are dry. The 10-oz. coffee cup helps you see how large they are!

Click on any picture to enlarge it. Note the beautiful deep veining of each rhurbarb leaf, as well as the undulating texture and slightly rippled edges. These features make them the most popular of all the leaves I sell! The Artist's Garden, a.k.a. Riverwoods Fine Arts, is located in southwestern Wisconsin, near the Minnesota-Iowa border, between LaCrosse and Prairie duChien, west of Richland Center and southeast of Viroqua. Small and Medium Hostas and Gift Sets of Hostas
Below are some photos of concrete hosta leaves which I made several years ago. Most have been sold; photos remain on this page for reference. Only very large leaves, mostly rhubarb, remain available for sale, some of which are pictured near the top of this page.

I have concrete leaves available in each price category ($5, $6, $7, $10, $15, $25, $35, $40 and up). Also, I offer gift sets of three hostas for $25. Shipping is extra. Please call (608-624-5511 9am-9pm Central Standard time) or email for appointment to view and purchase any leaves in person. Some of the specific leaves below are still available; let me know if you want to purchase specific ones pictured, or if similar substitutions will be adequate. Each leaf is unique, and it's difficult to keep the photos updated. If you are interested a gift grouping of three, let me know and I'll take a photo of a couple of groupings from which you can choose. Or if you have a price limit, tell me what you want to spend and I'll photograph a couple in that price category so you can choose from those. In the meantime I'll try to post more photos of specific leaves for sale.
Frogs, Frogs, Frogs ! Frogs LOVE these things!
Frogs LOVE these leaves! Use these handmade concrete leaves in and around your pond! Place the leaves at the top of your pond --frogs love to lounge around in the warm shallows. Here's a photo of two frogs doing just that! Here two frogs enjoy the summer warmth in the shallows of a concrete hosta leaf.
The photos below show you how beautiful the leaves can be, especially after it has rained. The colors really jump out!
